Goodhue VINELink Release Coverage
Minnesota VINE is the free, anonymous custody notification service presented by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Office of Justice Programs. It connects with Minnesota county jails and detention facilities, including the Goodhue County Adult Detention Center. Search and registration are available through VINELink or by telephone at 877-664-8463.
The state fact sheet says county-jail information typically reaches VINE at 15- or 30-minute intervals, and service is available around the clock. That schedule is not a promise that each event appears at once. It also does not describe the cadence of Goodhue County’s separate current roster PDF. The systems serve different tasks: the roster is a custody snapshot, while VINE provides a searchable county record and event alerts.
Coverage stops at an important line. Minnesota VINE is not the prison-system notification service. A person in a Minnesota DOC facility or under DOC community supervision belongs in Minnesota Haven. A federal sentence belongs in the Bureau of Prisons system. Correctly identifying the holding agency prevents a false “no result” conclusion.
Search a Goodhue Inmate
Search for one person, not a general list of releases. Full or partial name and the facility identification number are the documented search methods. A common name is not enough to establish identity. Compare the booking facility, booking information, identification number, and other lawfully displayed details before opening or saving a result.
- Open VINELink and select Minnesota. Starting from the state selection keeps the search within the correct county-jail network.
- Enter the person’s full or partial name, or use the facility identification number when it is known.
- Review all possible matches. Choose the record tied to the Goodhue County Adult Detention Center and reconcile the booking details.
- Open the record and read the current custody status, facility, booking information or ID, and scheduled-release information if shown.
- Keep the exact status or event words. “Transfer,” “unsupervised custody,” and “record purged” do not mean the same thing as general release.
- Save a contemporaneous alert, then obtain the Sheriff release record and matching court context when an exact, durable release answer is needed.

Goodhue VINELink Release Fields
A Minnesota VINE result may show current custody status, facility, booking information or ID, and scheduled release information when available. Not every record contains every field. A scheduled date is prospective. A custody event tells what VINE received, but the completed agency transaction remains the stronger source for an exact historical release date and authority.

Event language needs care. The documented set includes general release, court-order release, bond release, escape, record purged, unsupervised custody, outage, transfer, and death. Minnesota defines unsupervised custody to include work release and electronic home monitoring. A transfer means another authority may still hold the person. A purge or outage is a data event and cannot be restated as a normal release.
A Goodhue County release record answers a different question. It can identify the actual date and time, release authority or type, and destination or transfer agency if those fields are maintained and public. Combining these sources preserves the difference between notification, agency action, and judicial event.
Register Goodhue Release Alerts
Registration begins from the matching person record. The state fact sheet supports telephone, email, text, and app notifications. A VINELink account is optional, and the user does not have to provide a name merely to create an account. The PIN is important because it confirms a normal telephone alert and allows later changes or cancellation.
- Open the verified Goodhue ADC record and choose the notification option.
- Select a supported delivery channel and enter the phone number, email address, or other requested destination.
- Create a PIN and store it in a secure place. Complete any confirmation shown for the selected channel.
- When a normal phone alert arrives, enter the PIN to confirm receipt. That stops the repeat-call process.
- Use the registration PIN to change or cancel the alert. If it is unavailable, contact the VINE Customer First Center at 866-277-7477.
Normal telephone alerts are attempted every 30 minutes for 24 hours or until PIN confirmation. If a call is answered without confirmation, later calls occur every two hours for 24 hours. The system may leave voicemail but continues within the documented limit until confirmation. Nonemergency calls occur between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. Telephone support includes English, Spanish, Hmong, and Somali, with live language help also available.
Register as soon as a matching record is found. The state does not publish a fixed time during which a Goodhue record remains searchable after release. A saved alert can provide contemporaneous event evidence even after the online result changes.
Goodhue Release Notification Split
The Goodhue County ADC page directly links Minnesota VINE and publishes the 877-664-8463 telephone number. It also warns users not to depend solely on VINE and to take safety precautions as though release has already occurred. That local warning is a distinctive part of the Goodhue County notification path. A delayed or missed alert should never be treated as proof that custody continued.
At the state level, county-jail VINE and Minnesota Haven are separate. Haven covers a person in a DOC facility or under DOC community supervision, and the DOC notification program connects requests to Minn. Stat. § 611A.06. The Victim Assistance Program can be reached at 800-657-3830. A person transferred from Goodhue ADC after commitment to the Commissioner can therefore cross from the county alert system into the state corrections alert system.

The holding agency determines the route. Goodhue County does not become the notification owner merely because the court case began there or the person once appeared on its roster.
Confirm a Goodhue VINELink Release
A VINE release or custody-change alert is strong contemporaneous evidence, but it is not the final record for every purpose. For a current question, call ADC at 651-267-2804 and ask narrowly whether the person is presently housed. For an exact historical release date, time, type, or transfer destination, contact Sheriff Records at 651-267-2603 or use the county public-data form. Request existing fields rather than asking staff to create a narrative.
Then reconcile the event with Minnesota Court Records Online. The correct Goodhue criminal case may show bond, release, dismissal, sentencing, jail credit, probation, commitment, or transfer context in Case Details, Dispositions, and the Register of Actions. A court entry may authorize release before jail processing is complete, so preserve both times if they differ.
A person still shown in current Goodhue custody has not produced a completed county release result merely because a scheduled date appears. Someone marked transferred may have left ADC but remain confined. Someone released from state prison may live in the community while still under DOC supervision. No Goodhue VINELink Result
A missing result has several possible causes. The name or identification number may not match, the person may be in another county, the record may not yet have reached VINE, or the person may have moved into state, federal, immigration, or juvenile custody. An older released result may also no longer be searchable because no official source promises permanent post-release access.
- Check the official Goodhue roster PDF and its timestamp for current ADC custody.
- Try lawful name variations and the facility ID without guessing identity from a similar name.
- Review the Goodhue court case for an order, sentence, or transfer that identifies the next system.
- Use the Minnesota DOC Public Viewer if the case shows commitment to the Commissioner.
- Use the BOP or ICE locator only when the case and agency trail support that custody route.
- Ask Sheriff Records for existing booking and release data when the exact county event is historical.
The Goodhue roster also carries an identity warning: true identity requires fingerprint comparison. Public searchers cannot perform that check from a screen. Match stable identifiers and the court case, and ask the owning agency when sources conflict. No result is a reason to change channels, not a basis to announce release.
